Guess who called me?

The other day she asked me to drive eight fucking hours to see her for a few days.

I said yes. Big surprise.

It was a yes until she told me she was coming into town for xmas but wouldn't be able to make time to see me. Really? Is she serious? She expects me to drive eight hours there and eight hours back, find a dog sitter and take off work but she can't take a few hours out of her time to see me?

I was pissed off. She knew it.

So tonight I was surprised when her number came up on my phone.

Was it an accidental ass dial?

I answered, we talked, and it felt good, just like I knew it would.

Afterwards I text her and told her she could call or text me whenever she wanted to b/c she said she had been feeling lonely and didn't know who she could talk to.

This is what she text me back:
That's very sweet. I'm a jerk. Not intentionally, but I can be and you deserve better.  I'm still trying to pick up the pieces of my past. I would never want you to deal with that.

I told her I could be her friend, help her as much as I could and be there to comfort her when I couldn't do anything else. That I'm an amazing friend and to not let her "issues" get her down.

Britt text this back:
Wow. I don't know how but you managed to say all of the right things just now.  And I've never been more impressed.

I don't know what will happen between Britt and I but I know I miss having her in my life.

Thanksgiving

Gina and I went to Tiff's house for Thanksgiving.  We played with Tiff's three week old baby girl!  Then I took a very short nap ;)

Gina and I found this super fancy shopping cart in the parking lot outside Tiff's place.  It was so helpful, we used it from the car to the house ;)

How was your thanksgiving? Any family fights? Any good vegan recipes?

Somewhere only we know

She's on my mind a lot.  

More then I'd like. 

 

We text still.  She has been out of town for work and wont be for the next few months.

I can't help but wonder if she thinks about me.  And what it is she might be thinking.

Love is so difficult.
